On the occasion of Global Health Day, Elergon organizes a voluntary blood donation, on Thursday, April 7, from 09:00 to 13:00 at its facilities (Seminar Room - ground floor) and invites you to participate and be part of the effort to cover the need in blood units for people who need it.
The blood sampling will be undertaken by the mobile unit of the General Hospital of Thoracic Diseases "Sotiria", with specialized medical staff that will ensure the safety and wellbeing of the blood donors.
Volunteer blood donors should be aware of the following:
- Prior to the blood donation, an ID, driver's license, passport or other public document must be presented (with a photo of the blood donor)
- Before the blood donation, the prospective blood donor is examined by qualified medical personnel
- Useful information about the volunteer blood donor is available on the website of the National Blood Donation Center (www.ekea.gr)
- Anyone up to the age of 62 can become a blood donor
- Blood donation lasts about 10 minutes
- After the blood collection you will receive instructions / tips, e.g. rest for 10 minutes, avoid smoking for at least 1 hour, etc.
- Voluntary blood donation is open to employees, partners & customers of the company
